An Excerpt from "The Legend to the Treasure"
This book is a part of a series that also includes a Shipmate’s Journal, Audio lessons, and Video lessons filmed in Long Island and at Destiny by the Sea in Florida—which appropriately was the source of most of the inspiration.

ShipWelcome to those who have joined in the search of The Legend to The Treasure. I am certain that you have many questions such as...is there really a treasure, or is this a fantasy for those in need of a crutch or a fairytale? What is The Treasure and where is the map to The Treasure—the legend, keys, and clues? The purpose of this book is to thoroughly examine all of these issues. If you are willing, you are about to turn your wandering ship around and embark on a voyage that will take you to uncommon waters. It will be a divergent path with incomparable results. There is a fleet of ships that have gone before you and have “tasted and seen that it is good” waters.

Without a doubt, there are great treasures awaiting each of us—a spiritual fortune that only increases with compounding interest rates. It is, as Jesus promised, like the parable of the mustard seed that starts small but then grows into this great tree that houses all the sweet birds and animals and provides for many. I have, by the mercy of God, experienced this in my own life, and one blessing after another comes daily. It is so cliché but such a great analogy: it is like Christmas morning everyday for me now. It is so joyous that it is hard to hold back—you want to shout this discovery to the world. But you cannot give this treasure to someone. You cannot buy it, nor can people immediately understand it, and certainly you have to watch out that you do not give pearls to swine or they will turn and trample you. Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” Matthew 13:44-45

It is hidden, so you search, and it is so valuable that you will want to sell everything to obtain it. Why have so many people either never searched or ended their search? By looking at the multitudes in this un-panicked, contented society, one would conclude that this nation’s inhabitants believe they have “arrived” or that “this is life.” They have bought the lie that “we are to accept a life full of disappointments.” Either choice is disgustingly unacceptable to me. The religious world is at an all-time low in fulfilling moral obligations and at an all-time high in committing the sins of the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eye and the pride of life. The church members are diving into the same indulgences as the world so that you can tell no difference between a pagan and a protestant! This is an abomination that has set itself up in the church that is causing unsuspecting ships to smash into the rocks, leaving nothing behind but wreckage floating on the waves—each family destroyed. I protest: we have not arrived.

For those who insist that they are not in need of searching for anything, indeed, if you have already found what you are looking for, I pray that you will at least read long enough to compare your treasure to The Treasure that I have found and compare how your treasure[s] will protect you from the storms ahead.

To start my search, it took a jolt of reality and the truth of the state of my own life and of this nation and its presently disturbing religious practices. You have heard me speak of spiritual emptiness: I have met people who have divinity degrees, who have been to the most “progressive” churches, and yet they exhibit the most intense lust for food [head hunger] or lustful-based desires or lust for more money, drugs, or entertainment. I also have felt as if one duty of this book was to present some indicators of the present state of the nation in terms of social behaviors and financial stability, since the truth is hard to come by. America’s news reports consist of Hollywood and country and pop music stars, sports and sports figures, and the gossip of People Magazine to see how the rich and famous dress and live. Indeed, even though you can turn on satellite television, or satellite radio with 24-hour news, the average citizen is really unaware of this country’s financial woes. NYSESince truth is the key that turns the rudder of the ship around, let us just discuss one fact—the devaluation of the dollar. The USDX is the index that evaluates the dollar and it is a measure of the value of the U.S. dollar relative to the majority of its most significant trading partners. Currently, this index is calculated by factoring in the exchange rates of six major world currencies: the euro, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar, British pound, Swedish krona, and Swiss franc. This index started in 1973 with a base of 100 and is relative to this base. This means that a value of 120 would suggest that the U.S. dollar experienced a 20 percent increase in value over the time period. The index is updated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The U.S. dollar has always been strong and the currency that all countries wanted. However, over the last years it has been devalued. After hovering at an index of “80” for several months, the dollar gave up even more ground recently to the euro as the pound neared $2.00. The dollar is at historic lows. The Feds seem to be doing nothing about this; however, in reality they are allowing the debasing of the dollar. It is their belief that if the dollar is lower it will encourage more trade from other countries. This is a short-term fix¬—and even that is debatable. The news is distracting the country with war, while the average citizen is unaware of the country’s growing debt and financial strains that will affect our future. I fear this chart foreshadows the future. The Feds believe in cyclical economics. I believe and know of the truth: the connection of blessings and economic stability with obedience and faithfulness to God alone.

The reading of Deuteronomy 28-30 is an essential, foundational reading for the understanding of this book [see Appendix B]. Obviously a sea of people have not made the connection beween their actions and the curses and blessings of this prophecy. In short, when you are faithful as a whole, you are the head and not the tail. I have lived long enough to watch the reversal of this enviable position. I remember, as a child, shopping in Europe, and the favor that Americans received was over the top. Presently, America is losing ground in the realms of finances, trade, and respect. The Words of God will not be mocked. If you obey, Deuteronomy 28:13 explains, “The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.” If you disobey, Deuteronomy 28:44 explains, “He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. He will be the head, but you will be the tail.” This scripture also warns of losing your plunder to others if you do not fully obey. It does not surprise me that there are more and more private equity buy-outs and that foreigners are shopping for U.S. assets and are getting them at fire sale prices. I fear this chart foreshadows the future.

My warnings are not new to those who know me. I had started sounding the alarms in the late 1990s. Using the words of Moses and based on Deuteronomy 28, I blew a trumpet warning that foreigners could invade this country. I know that I fell to my knees in the midst of the 9/11 catastrophe and prayed that God would give more people time to repent. Again, I warned people at the height of the real estate financial bubble of false security. These warnings have, for the most part, fallen on deaf ears. But it has been like talking to the people partying in the roaring ‘20s—it is hard to hear over the music—the next thing they knew, they were in the Great Depression with no jobs and no meat to eat and no money to buy enough food for the family. I think that it is eerie that the current styles that are back in vogue are those of the “flappers” and the “roaring ‘20s”—the attire that was worn before the rags of the 1940s. My belief has been that a wrathful storm is brewing from the four corners of the earth, and indeed it has sent forth precursor clouds with ripping winds that have been deadly. The disasters such as 9/11 and Katrina and the tsunami, droughts, floods, and fires are preparations for what lies ahead. The needle on the barometer is pointing toward a great storm.

I believe that we should be grateful that we have not all experienced what the rebellious did in Noah’s day. Our hearts are still beating. God is merciful, and His general wakeup calls have been coming in waves. If you have missed some of the sirens and warnings from God, it is past time to get your life and your heart ready for the days ahead. If you roll over and pull the covers back over your head, you will miss this treasure and wind up with an empty box full of woes. God can find others who want to dig through the veil and find this hidden city. Jesus advised about this in His final warnings... “Therefore I tell you that the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.” Matthew 21:43

I do not want this treasure to be taken away. I am about to enter the last half or third of my life—no one knows. The thoughts of the first years make me humble, wishing that I had found this treasure earlier, but grateful for God’s mercy; the thought of the future is exciting because I have found The Treasure Box and I have yet to uncover all the pearls that are making my life so full of joy. When will disaster hit? How extended will life be? Perhaps it will be brief. But extended or brief, I know that it all belongs to God. God spoke though Moses to His people saying, “You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” Exodus 19:4 You may not feel like a Priest of the Most High God nor feel as if you are a part of a Holy Nation—yet God is calling you. Are you ready for a second chance of a new life with new relationships that are gentle, sincere, and lasting? I have found a path to a secret treasure that is hidden and it gives me great and inexpressible joy. If you dream of a better life and pray for better relationships, finances, health, more peace and love, then this search is for you. Read Isaiah 33.

You who are far away, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge my power! The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: ‘Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?’ He who walks righteously and speaks what is right, who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes, who stops his ears against plots of murder and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil—this is the man who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. His bread will be supplied, and water will not fail him. Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar. In your thoughts you will ponder the former terror: “Where is that chief officer? Where is the one who took the revenue? Where is the officer in charge of the towers?” You will see those arrogant people no more, those people of an obscure speech, with their strange, incomprehensible tongue. Look upon Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken. There the LORD will be our Mighty One. It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars will ride them, no mighty ship will sail them. For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us.

God is separating the wicked and the righteous. So, at the turn of the century, I sensed a change of the winds. Before that, life seemed to be just “normal.” However, at the end of the last century and the start of the 21st century, more evil and immorality surfaced than one would believe was below the surface, especially religious hypocrisy. Metal detector searches at airports and malls, bodyguards, and even armed guards at churches let you know it is a different world. God had given me Ezekiel 34 and these warnings, which I faithfully passed along starting in 1998, but it is still shocking to see this exposure.

But all in all, look at the good in it. God is gathering the righteous together and refining them like never before, and He is accomplishing this by exposing the pandemic evil in the world. I am witnessing what God said through His prophets—the righteous will inherit the land and the wicked will be no more. Sinners left in Zion will be terrified. The righteous will be left and be established. The separation of good and evil stirs up tornadoes like cold air hitting hot air. One house will be left standing and one will not. You will not only find The Treasure in this Treasure Series, you will be grounded so that your house will stand as the cold winds from Heaven hit the hot winds from Hades and separates and obliterates. The Legend to the Treasure series is from God to get you ready for the fenceless world ahead before it is too late. This will be the only way to enjoy your treasure once you find it. God is the One who has pushed and worked to get this Treasure Hunt to you. He gets all glory.

Finally, this book is full of contrasts—from fortune to disaster. I h
ave found that there is no in between. To find this Treasure, you need to pull out every nautical tool that you can find, check the rigging, and hoist the sails. To face a storm, you have to sail directly into the wind. If you turn sideways, you will capsize. Get out the oars and start the search, and my prayer is that you find The Treasure before the full fury of the storm hits shore. Let us hoist the sails and pull out the oars and get started on this essential quest, and may our paths cross at this destiny by the sea.

Sincerely devoted,
